Betty Udell Marshall Memorial Scholarship
A scholarship established in memory of Betty Udell Marshall for a full-time undergraduate female. Applicant must have graduated from an Arizona high school, and demonstrate academic achievement and participation in extracurricular activities and community service. Financial need will be considered, but does not need to be demonstrated.
Caballeros de Yuma Scholarship
A scholarship award for a full-time UA junior or senior who graduated from a Yuma County high school with a current cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Recipient must be a U.S. citizen, and demonstrate involvement in community or University extracurricular activities. Deadline to apply is March 11, 2011.
Dianne Abbuhl Memorial Scholarship
A memorial scholarship established to honor Dianne Abbuhl. A one-time, non-renewable award for a female undergraduate who is returning to school after several years. Applicant must be an Arizona resident and have graduated from an Arizona high school. Applicant must have a current UA cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and have a FAFSA on file.
Faculty Women's Club Scholarship
A scholarship created by the UA Faculty Women's Club for undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors, and graduate students who are Arizona residents with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, who are registered full-time, and who have demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to applicants returning to school, or students who are married or single head-of-household.
Greek Ancestry Scholarship
One-time scholarship award for an undergraduate or graduate student with some degree of Greek ancestry.
Helen Dyar King Scholarship
A scholarship created and endowed by Ms. Helen Dyar King to encourage and reward public service. Applicants must be active in or a former member of--or the child/grandchild of a person who served in--the military, law enforcement, fire fighter, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Park Service, or U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Honeywell Retiree Club Scholarship
A scholarship established by the Honeywell Retiree Club to assist retirees and their families in realizing their educational goals. Applicants must have a family member or relative who is an active member of the Honeywell Retiree Club. Applicants must be undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Karen and Manuel T. Pacheco Scholarship
A scholarship for outstanding students who demonstrate leadership skills, service to society, and a commitment to higher education.
Leehan Memorial Scholarship
A memorial scholarship in honor of T.F. Leehan for an Arizona resident and graduate of an Arizona high school. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students who work full time or part time while obtaining their education.
Mission View and Menlo Park Scholarship
A renewable scholarship award for current undergraduates, transfer students, or incoming freshmen who previously attended either Mission View or Menlo Park Elementary School.
Naren Umashankar Memorial Scholarship
A memorial scholarship in memory of Naren Umashankar who was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, and attended the University of Arizona. He was an active member of the community, a leader in several organizations, and a hardworking student. Naren valued higher education and giving back to the community. A one-time award for sophomores or juniors with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and demonstrated leadership through community work.
Phi Beta Kappa Scholarship
A scholarship for full-time UA sophomores, juniors and seniors who are pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree, who have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5, and have demonstrated financial need.
Robert and Kathryn Carter Scholarship
A scholarship for sophomores, juniors and seniors who have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, are U.S. citizens, have demonstrated financial need, and plan to remain in the U.S. after graduation.
Theodore Koff Scholarship
A scholarship for graduate students who are pursuing studies in Aging, Health Care Administration, or Gerontology, and health professions students with an interest in aging and gerontology (to include, for example, students from the Colleges of Management, Medicine, Nursing, Public Health and Pharmacy). Applicants must have completed their undergraduate studies with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
The University of Arizona Retirees Association (UARA) Irving Yall Book Scholarship
A scholarship established in memory of Dr. Irving Yall, professor emeritus of microbiology and past president of UARA. Applicants must be an Arizona resident, U.S. citizen or permanent resident, a currently enrolled freshman or sophomore, and have demonstrated financial need.
The University of Arizona Retirees Association (UARA) T.R. Rehm Graduate Scholarship
A scholarship established by the UARA and Thomas R. Rehm for graduate or doctoral students pursuing studies related to aging issues. Applicant must be an Arizona resident with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
W.H. Cox & Sons Scholarship Fund
A scholarship for students who have been employed as a golf caddy at any golf club within a 50-mile radius of Tucson, Ariz. Verification of employment is required.
Walter A. Burg Scholarship Fund
A memorial scholarship in honor of Walter A. Burg for dependents (children or spouses) of regular, full-time TAA employees that have completed their probationary period. The number and amount of each award is dependent on available funds. Only qualified applicants that have been admitted to the University of Arizona as full-time students for the 2011-2012 school year are eligible.
William and Ann Hupalo Scholarship
One-time, non-renewable scholarship for students whose parent is/was an Army or Air Force aviator, and who have demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to children whose parent was an Army aviator killed in military action or while performing required duties in a time of peace.
Wolslager Foundation Scholarship
A renewable scholarship for students transferring from either Pima Community College or Cochise College, with a minimum of 45 transferrable hours. Applicants must have also graduated from a high school within Pima, Cochise or Santa Cruz counties, or have been a resident in one of those counties for at least five years. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, and must be enrolled as full-time students with a miminum cumulative GPA of 2.75. Finally, applicants must not be student-athletes or majoring in any discipline that falls under the College of Fine Arts or College of Law, or have declared certain majors within the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, including: Judaic Studies, Raza Studies, School of Government and Public Policy Science, Public Administration, Political Science, Sociology, and Gender and Women's Studies. Scholarship is available for UA and UA South students.
